Project Description

Your final project in is an in-depth examination of a Macroeconomic topic. You will research, write and

create a short section/chapter for an economic textbook using iBooks Author. The project will consist of

several small steps each aimed at applying your ability to think critically about economic ideas and to

accurately describe economic concepts. Many of the skills you have learned throughout your time at

Westminster will be on display for this project. Along with a research paper you will also create audio

visual content to help engage the reader and provide examples. All of the content you create will

become part of a student-created iBook on Macroeconomics which other economic students can use as

a resource (this is a textbook created by students, for students). Each student will choose a topic from

the list and become a relative expert in it. Students will then create a chapter or section and

include all the relevant material. The audience for the book is expected to be first-time economic

students unfamiliar with the concepts you are teaching. Therefore you must endeavor to be

exceptionally clear and concise regarding your information and are required to include multiple

examples to aid understanding. You will be assessed on the accuracy of your content as well as your

ability to clearly communicate the concepts in your topic through written and audio visual means.
