WWII HISTORICAL STORY--LIBRARY PROJECT
Each student will gather research and write a creative story about the U.S. involvement in one of the battles listed below during WWII. The story should include historical facts that you will get from the research like specific name and location of the battle, date(s) when it was fought, name of opponent(s), main leader(s) for the U.S. and opponent(s) during the battle, weapons/strategies used in the battle, etc. However, the focus of the story should be about a fictional character from the U.S. that participated in the battle.
You have to use a book AND two websites/databases on the Lib Guide or reserved book cart ONLY to gather facts about the battle that you selected. You have to include in-text citations to cite the sources that you used for your facts. In addition, you should take at least 7-10 bulleted notes from each of the three required resources before you start writing the story.
The story should be 1½-2 pages double-spaced typed using Times New Roman, size 12 font with 1 inch margins on top, bottom, left and right, and include a title (centered), and a works cited at the end to show where you got your historical facts. You must turn in the specific name of a battle for your story to be approved by me before you start your research.
